I haven't seen a food forum here, either that or I'm blind.

Just a recipe I thought I would share. I haven't tried it yet but some of my friends have and it seems to work out ok.

Enjoy.

DANGEROUS 5 MINUTE CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE

4 tablespoons flour
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa
1 egg
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional)
a small splash of vanilla extract
1 large coffee mug

Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well. Add the egg and mix thoroughly. Pour in the milk and oil and mix well. Add the chocolate chips (if using) and vanilla extract, and mix again.
Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 1000 watts. The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed! Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired.
EAT! (this can serve 2 if you want to feel slightly more virtuous).

And why is this the most dangerous cake recipe in the world?
Because now we are all only 5 minutes away from chocolate cake at any time of the day or night!

Not dangerous for me, because I don't care for chocolate cake.

Now is there a recipe for non chocolate cakes like this? Now that could be dangerous.

this would be great for a kids birthday party, they could make them and then decorate them, more cake than a cupcake and just think of the fun...thanks for sharing
plus l am a cake eater and my kids arent so making a 9x13 cake isnt a good thing for me, cause its just me eating it lol
this way l can have cake whenever and not worry about the calories of a whole cake...

Ummm you don't like chocolate????: dropping jaw or just chocolate cake?

You could try ommitting the cocoa and add flour instead. But no promises that that will be any good. Chocolate is always better. sticking out tongue

I too have hard time wrapping my brain around someone not liking chocolate - it is a member of my family, part of the diet. LOL cheering
Here is an idea - substitute brown sugar for the white - equal plus a bit, and maybe some butterscotch chips, rum flavoring etc. and go for the whole sticky toffee thing? Worth a try Loner, but so is chocolate!!

angel Have a great weekend everybody!!!! wave

I know I'm strange for not caring for chocolate, that includes ice cream, cake, milk, pudding. Although I will eat a chocolate bar, like a coffee crisp once in a while. The another food that I don't like in anything is peanut butter.

thumbs up It is a bit strange, but I recall hearing something about if a person really dislikes something, it could be because it is their body's way of defending itself from an allergy?

And, taking into consideration the whole peanut butter thing...dancing banana You would never be accused of stealing the Reese's Pieces!!! angel
Hope you are having a safe and bountiful harvest Loner....given the economic situation as it is....wave
